Snapshot Saturday: Island Romance

“As the ocean is never full of water, so is the heart never full of love.” -Anonymous

With this gorgeous sunset, who wouldn’t fall in love?

Nope, that ain’t me and hubby. This is a snapshot of Amir and his girlfriend who started steadily dating after their Magalawa Island weekend getaway. Neither is a friend of mine, in fact they’re a couple of strangers to me.

Via a social networking site, Amir contacted me prior their trip to ask questions about our babymoon spent on the island. He was trying to woo a girl and wanted to make sure she won’t be overwhelmed with the long bus rides. I assured him, if a 6-month preggy chick can do it, so can she.

Starfishes dotted along Magalawa Island’s Beach.

Now I guess it’s plain for us to see what happened next. Finding romance whilst traveling can be one of the highlights of a backpacker’s life. And I’m proud I have been an accessory to the whole thingamajig.

When not backpacking, she teaches her daughter sight words and belly dancing (even if she's not good at it). She's currently eating her way around some hippie town in Australia. She loves talking about herself in the third person.
