Voluntourism: Book Sharing Project 2012

Imagine your life without books… For some, it’s a sad reality.

This backpacker mum is stoked to be part of an awesome team that will help bring an early Christmas to Rizal Elementary School in Gubat, Sorsogon this year. The Book Sharing Project, organized by local volunteers and a bunch of bloggers, aims to collect donated books that will be handed over to a school that’s been around for almost fifty years but never had a library.

Fifty years! Tsk. Watch this video prepared by fellow travel blogger Journeying James to know more about the project.

We have done our small part, now we just need YOU to help us make a difference…

When not backpacking, she teaches her daughter sight words and belly dancing (even if she's not good at it). She's currently eating her way around some hippie town in Australia. She loves talking about herself in the third person.
