Travel Junkies: The Ultimate US Trip

Do you consider yourself the travel junkie? Do you love travelling, but feel as though you haven’t experience everything you could have possibly experienced by now? Well, a lot of us feel the same, and some of us don’t even get the pleasure of doing as much travelling as some. However, one thing we can all agree on is that the US is the ultimate trip for a lot of people. It doesn’t matter what your interests are, you’ll be able to find something that is suitable for you, whether you’re travelling with your family, friends, or on your own. If you want to plan the ultimate trip to the US, you’re going to need to know some of the hotspots to hit. Here’s just a few of them that we think you’ll love.

Avon Pier, Hatteras Island, North Carolina

North Carolina

The theme of this article is to talk about the states that people wouldn’t usually visit, the ones that aren’t so mainstream. North Carolina is definitely one of them, and it’s just so overrated when it deserves so much more credit. For one, there’s plenty of lovely places to stay, with the staff always having the best hospitality. The Residence Inn Asheville Biltmore is just one example of a good place to stay for you. Whilst you’re in that area, you should have a little visit of the Biltmore estate. It’s a lovely area with a huge historic mansion, and beautiful gardens. Pisgah National Forest is also a lovely little area if you’re looking to get back to nature. The whole feel of North Carolina is nice and fresh, and we guarantee you’ll have a great and relaxing time whilst you’re there.

Arizona

Arizona is a pretty cool state to visit for so many different reasons. For one, there’s so much to do. Just like with North Carolina, the people in the state of Arizona are just so welcoming, and they cook some of the best food in the whole of America. Be sure to try some of the independently owned restaurants, some that might be a bit of the beaten track. They’re always the best, and always have the best hospitality. Like with North Carolina, most of the things that you’re going to be able to do is outdoorsy. One of the most popular is definitely Antelope Canyon. The Grand Canyon skywalk is also pretty cool, as long as you’re not scared of heights that is!

Virginia

Virginia is a state located right by North Carolina, so you can expect the same sort of things to do whilst you’re there. There’s plenty of places to stay, a lot of them similar to the ones we’ve listed already. One of the coolest things you can do if you’re looking for a bit of a mini road trip is the Skyline Drive. It’s a drive 105 miles long, and it’ll give you some of the best views of Virginia that you’ll ever see. There’s also the Appalachian National Scenic Trail if you would rather leave the driving, and experience the nature up close and person. The trail isn’t so long, but a full day out will probably still be needed.

When not backpacking, she teaches her daughter sight words and belly dancing (even if she's not good at it). She's currently eating her way around some hippie town in Australia. She loves talking about herself in the third person.
