The Cruise Holiday: A Great Get Away For All?

Cruise holidays have a reputation for catering solely for the older generations, looking to sit back, relax and take in the view. The reality however, can be very different. Now more than ever, younger people and families are seeing the benefits a cruise holiday can offer them.

Multiple ports-of-call in one holiday

Ever wanted to explore the world? Then a cruise holiday on the high seas, discovering new areas along the way, may be for you. There are many highlights of going on a cruise, with the obvious being the opportunity to visit a plethora of cities and countries in a short amount of time. Take your opportunity to see the world and sail itineraries from Far East cruises to voyages around the Caribbean. The world is your oyster when out at sea.

Life on board

Vessels offer the highest levels of luxury, similar to an all-inclusive resort, often featuring on-board spas and full service-gyms. Snap up the opportunity to kick back and relax in style, taking in the fresh sea air whilst sipping on a cocktail, or simply catching up on the latest novel. To anyone who still believes the stigma of cruises being boring, you’re in for a pleasant surprise. Ships offer professional on-board entertainment, ranging from dance competitions to casinos to cabarets. If dining out is your thing then get ready to fill up. Culinary options on board are aplenty, catering to a whole host of different tastes, from three course dinners to ice creams.

Family Fun

Cruises are a great excuse to gather the extended family and book a group holiday: the ideal way to spend some time together. They give individuals enough personal space with plenty of opportunities to meet up and have some family laughs.

Like many all-inclusive resorts, the majority of cruise operators offer nurseries and kids clubs on board. This will allow you to create that invaluable chillax time with your partner, in the knowledge that the kids are safe and having fun.

  1. testimonial time……

my first cruise was 3-night mexico cruise. tried it only bec was curious. got sick on the last day. BUT the cruise was a booze cruise, ended up taking the cruise filled with college kids on winter break. that totally changed my perception of cruising.

tomorrow i am flying to europe to get on my 6 & 7 cruise. we’ve met people of all kinds and people of our own age group too. now we get to cruise with them every couple of years or something. i am loving the affordability of cruising and variety of places to see; plus the convenience of unpacking only once.
