How To Plan The Ideal Italian Vacation

Italy is a country rich with culture and history, making it an incredibly attractive destination for people all over the world. It’s stunning natural beauty, fascinating lifestyle and delicious food are all excellent reasons to travel there whenever you get the chance. Whether you want to spend a few romantic nights with a special someone or learn more about the influence of Italian art and literature, you’ll need to prepare before you set off carefully. It is true of any country that making sure you know what to expect and how to plan ahead will make the time much more enjoyable. Here are a few helpful tips on how to plan your ideal vacation in Italy.

One: Packing

Depending on the country, packing appropriately can make the difference between a great vacation and a dreadful one. Italy has a warm climate with dry summers and rainy winters, so bear this in mind when booking your flight. You shouldn’t need heavy winter coats unless you plan on visiting the Alps and even then, be sure to remember your sunscreen. The beaches are Mediterranean, and therefore it would be wise to pack a bathing suit for a dip – just be careful of the changing winds and strong currents.

Two: Travel

Getting about in Italy can be one of the most fun parts of your vacation. After landing, you can book transport from Treviso airport to Venice and enjoy the scenery along the way. Gondolas are also a fantastic way of traveling the canals of Venice and speedboats make for exciting trips around the Italian coast. If you want to spend more time relaxing, you can walk through the streets or go for hikes in the hills and find some amazing views. Chianti Country is breathtaking at sunset while Rome lights up beautifully at night.

Three: Food

Food in Italy is so iconic that it has influenced the rest of the world in many ways. Pasta, pizza, cheese, wine and much more has come from Italian chefs throughout the years. Treat yourself to a true Italian dining experience or go on a trip to the vineyards for a wine-tasting lesson. Some tours even offer courses on how to make the food or drink in question, and you can eat your very own creation afterward. This is a particularly great vacation idea as you’ll learn skills that never leave you and can be brought home to show your friends and family.

Four: Activities

Italian history and culture offer so much for the curious tourist. Iconic monuments such as the Colosseum, the Pantheon and the Leaning Tower of Pisa lure people from every corner of the globe, as well as the numerous beautiful cathedrals and palaces with famous artworks inside. Visit Italian art galleries for treats like Michelangelo’s David and the Mona Lisa. If youneed some fresh air, head up into the Alps for a brisk ski and some meltingly good chocolate drinks. And, of course, Milan is perfect for shoppers and fashionistas.
